Flying off to Kuching in about 14 hours time for my first mission trip.
I live for moments like this.
I'm really excited about it!
Missions have always been in my heart, and i tried many years to go for one but somehow things just didn't happen. This time, i enrolled myself in SOT to get trained, and finally i'll be able to exercise what i've learnt, in the mission field, where i truly believe i'm called to.
Taking a step of faith, the craziest thing i'm gonna do this trip.. is to give the offering message during the english service.
Wow, i believe i was never called to the mike. Preaching is a crazy thing to me and it continues to be. If you have spoken to me you would probably notice i stutter alot, mispronounce often, and my enunciation needs much improvement.
Yet from the comments and encouragements i received from the preaching test, i really decided to trust God and take a step of faith to share the offering message. Please pray for me, i need it. I thought if its really a gift of God, i better use it to count myself faithful of His gifts. Remember the parable of the talents?
Amidst the offering, i'm also try to get myself involved in stuff more comfortable and natural for me - games, some acting etc.
And so my first mission trip begins soon and i can't wait!
